Obituary for Sue Ann Brown

Sue was born on 23 July 1943 to Arthur (Pete) and Ruby Burton Templeton at her maternal grandmothers home in Ann Arbor Township. She was two years old before she met her father who was in the Navy during WWII. She and Ruby traveled to San Diego, CA to meet Pete when he was discharged.

She grew up in New Hudson, the area her family had been in since before Michigan was a state. Sue graduated from South Lyon High class of 1961. She met Michael John Brown and married in January of 1962 celebrating 57 years together.

They became the parents of five children, Michele Semones of Hartland, Michael (Connie) Brown IV of Dexter, Matthew (Kristi) Brown of Fenton, Melissa (Michael) Zelyez of Howell, and Mark (Anna) Brown of Fenton. And the grandparents of Julie (Scott) Hamilton, Michael (Anna Myers) Brown, Paul (Charlotte) Brown, Megan Semones, Emily Semones, Justin Brown, Jack Zelyez, Benjamin Zelyez, Alexandra Brown, Paul Brown, Ana Brown. Then the arrival of great grandchildren, Brielle, Leah, Nathan and Levi Hamilton and Skylar Brown.

Sue is also survived by her siblings, Judy Render of California, Tom Templeton of Walker, MI, David (Marge) Templeton of Brighton, MI, George (Lennie) Templeton of Acworth, GA, Mary Cavanaugh of Dayton, OH, and Gary (Bonnie) Templeton of Ann Arbor, MI. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sue was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, Grand River Trail Chapter of the Daughters of The American Revolution.
