Obituary for Sumner D. Hancock

Sumner Hancock, age 73 and a long time resident of White Lake Twp., died in the care of his family on September 25, 2014 after a battle with lung cancer.

Sumner was well known for his work as a finish carpenter and at The Classic Coney Cafe in Highland where he enjoyed breakfast, lunch, dinner, and many good friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Diane Hancock, Shirleen (Anthony) DiFonzo and their mother, Karen Law; sister, Murleen (Bernie) Scheible; brother, Gilberte (Christa) Hancock; step-daughter, Cheryl Janovich, and her daughter, Gracie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathlyn Hancock, and a sister, Carroll Boyes.

Services will be held privately. Memorials may be made in his name to Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, 8711 E. Pinnacle Peak, PMB 115, Scottsdale, AZ 85255. Condolences may be left with Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, Milford, 248-684-6645.
