Obituary for Thomas William Rose

Thomas William Rose, 75 years old of Commerce  Township Michigan, and beloved husband of Dorothy for 23 years surrounded by his family on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 entered heaven by the grace of Jesus.

Tom was born in Detroit Michigan on April 30, 1945 to the late Willard and Rita Rose. He worked at Ford motor company in the scientific research lab in tool and die for 31 years until he retired early at age 51.

Thomas had a very generous heart he was always giving of his time to help family, friends, neighbors, and many strangers. In addition to being generous with his time he was also generous with his donations, and his favorite charity was “Right To Life of Michigan.”

Everyone that knew Tom understood that above all else he was passionate about his love and devotion to God and his family. His other passions in life were dancing with Dorothy, family parties, playing, with his grandkids, vacationing, sailing, jet skiing, and being the best all-around handyman. He loved music, and pass that on to his kids and grandkids as well he also carried on his fathers tradition as “ Hoppie The Great,” and put on several magic shows throughout his life. He was very social, and enjoyed the countless conversations with anyone, and everyone he met.

A saying that Tom liked & lived by: Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside totally worn out & proclaiming WOW WHAT A RIDE!

Thomas is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy M. Rose and was a loving father of Richard (Chris ) Porter, Charlotte Moss, Ginette (Trent) Fetters, Ken Rose, Donna (Michael) Naughton, Michael Hachigian, Robert Hachigian and Deborah (James) Antos; devoted grandfather of Ava, Olivia, Evan, Jackson, Lexi, Nadia, Lyla, Lacy and Melissa; proud great-grandfather of Nevaeh, Maximus, Atticus and Penelope; his first wife, Sammie Eikel; sister, Mary Saint Amour as well as many close friends and extended family members.

Thomas is preceded in death by his second wife, Olivia Rose
