Obituary for Trudy Kleismit

Trudy Elizabeth Kleismit of White Lake left this world for eternal peace on Monday evening, May 24, at Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield. She was 41 years old. Born in Pontiac and raised on Lower Straights Lake in Union Lake, she was the daughter of Duane A. and Yvonne (Weiss) McGeachy. She went to Clifford Smart Junior High and graduated from Walled Lake Central High School. Trudy went on to earn her Bachelors degree from Central Michigan University where she majored in logistics and finance. She soon thereafter went to work with Chrysler Corporation and became the recruiting liaison between the carmaker and CMU. It was at Chrysler she met the love her life, Chuck Kleismit to whom she was married on July 22, 1995 at St. Patricks Church in White Lake and the two began building a life together centered on faith and family and dear friends.

Trudy was a woman with a contagious personality to whom others were naturally drawn. Funny, helpful, generous and caring, she was a doer who could be a rock of strength and a well of compassion in good times and hard times. She loved the holidays especially Christmas with the family. Trudy and her family spent their Easter vacations in Florida with family and friends collecting everlasting memories. Summer weekends and holidays were spent at their lakefront cottage up north in Otsego County. She was a decorator and gardener and scrap-booker. But more than anything, Trudy Kleismit was a woman of deep and abiding faith, a beloved and loving wife and a mom who adored and would do anything for her children.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck; their children, Conner and Julia; her parents, Duane and Yvonne McGeachy and brothers, Dean (Lenore), Darren (Diane) and Todd McGeachy. She also leaves many loving extended family members and dear friends who join with her family in mourning the death of a dear woman and giving thanks to God for her life among them.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Rd., White Lake, Saturday, May 29 at 10 AM with Fr. Tom Meagher officiating. Burial Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty, Milford, Thursday 4-9 PM & Friday 2-9 PM. Rosary Friday 7 PM. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Parish Christian Services.
