GRIEF & HEALING

each stage of the grieving process.
Be the first to share your favorite memory, photo or story of Victoria. This memorial page is dedicated for family, friends and future generations to celebrate the life of their loved one.
We ask on behalf of the family that you keep your comments uplifting and appropriate to help all who come here to find comfort and healing.
Victoria, Vickie, (Montagna) Jozwiak, died peacefully at home on October 8, 2020 after a mercifully brief cancer diagnosis. She was 90 years old. She had a life filled with joys and sorrows. Her independence and strength, were an inspiration. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, nieces nephews, grand nieces and nephews, dear friends and neighbors, and her flower gardening.
Daughter of Federico and Pia Montagna, predeceased by her sister and brother Mary Reale and Mario Montagna, she grew up in Detroit in the days of downtown streetcars. She worked on and off at Sears Roebuck over many years. There she met her future husband, the late Max W. Jozwiak, married in 1957 at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church. They raised their children, Janet and John in Detroit and Milford/White Lake, Michigan. For a time, she simultaneously worked full time as a floor clerk in the nursery at Pontiac General Hospital, and part time in customer service at Sears. After retiring she cared for other family members. Her faith was strong and was a long time member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Union Lake, enjoying the Fish Fry’s and end of summer festival.
She truly loved, cared about and prayed for family, friends and neighbors as they went through struggles. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Jozwiak of NY; son, John (Andrea Voss) Jozwiak; grandchildren; Dylan, Michael, Max and Luca; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Victoria was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over fifty-one years, Max W. Jozwiak, and her son-in-law, Gregory Martin; sister and brother, Mary Reale and Mario Montagna.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations go to St. Vincent DePaul Society or plant a flower in Vickie's memory.
A Memorial Service will be held at, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, 48386, on Thursday, October 15th, 2020 at 11 AM. A gathering will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.
