William Griffin Lorimer, "Bill," of Milford, passed away in the care of his family after a brief but courageous battle with stomach cancer. He was 82 years old.
Bill was preceded in death by his sister Mary Harrison.
Bill is survived by his sons Brad Lorimer, Skip (Kim) Lorimer and daughter Lee (Keith) Vandenbussche and dear grandchildren Kelley Lorimer, Graci (Craig) Larry, Evelyn Lorimer, Griffin Lorimer, Brett Vandenbussche and Grant Vandenbussche.
Bill will be remembered as giving and compassionate man of great faith. He led a diverse life which included serving as a Protestant Minister, working in a Philadelphia drug and rehab treatment center, and finishing his career at the State of Texas Employment Commission in El Paso, Texas. At age 62 years Bill retired to Milford, Michigan.
A service of remembrance for family and friends will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 12 at Milford Presbyterian Church, 238 N Main St, Milford, MI 48381.
The family will be receiving friends following the service to celebrate his life from 2-5 PM at Lee and Keith Vandenbussche's home in Milford.
Memorial donations may be made in Bill's memory to Gleaner's Community Food Bank, 2131 Beaufait, Detroit, MI 48207.
