Elsie Mae Powers of South Lyon, and more formerly of Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 11th, 2022. She was 87 years old. Elsie graduated from earth, was awarded her wings and now resides with her heavenly father God and all her loved ones who have gone on before her.

Daughter of the late Ed and Anna Lundin, Elsie is survived by her children, Richard (Carol),
Denis (Liz) and Alan (Leslie) Powers; grandchildren, April Sawallich, Michael (Nikki) Powers, Michelle, Melissa, Mark and Jon (Ginger) Powers, Alex Powers, Rachel (Chris) Steer, and Nicole Powers; great grandchildren Andrea (Brad), Collin, Alyssa, Madalyn, Nicholas, Nevaeh, Natalee, Ethan, Hannah, Raelynn and Weston; great great grandson Oliver; also many extended family and dear friends.

Elsie is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Jerry Powers; her son, Gordon Powers.

Everyone who knew Elsie loved Elsie. With a beautiful smile on her face she lived life to the fullest. What Elsie loved the most was time spent with family. She adored all her grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren and they adored her. She never turned down an invitation from family or friends to go on an outing. Elsie enjoyed craft shows, shopping, luncheons, sewing, knitting, parks, zoos, bingo and everything in between. Elsie and husband Jerry loved camping and travel, especially when family joined in on the fun.

In her later years Elsie suffered from Alzhiemers and was well cared for at Suncrest Assisted Living in Milford, Michigan. Her last six months she had extra TLC from hospice and Pastor Jack. Our sincere thank you to all of them.

Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons, on Friday, January 14th at 11:00 A.M. with gathering beginning at 10:00 A.M.
