Obituary for Edward Joseph Barnas

Edward Joseph Barnas, a longtime resident of Southgate and a recent resident of Milford, passed away in the loving care of his family on February 18, 2018 after living with Parkinson’s disease. He was 89 years old.

In addition to Irene, his beloved wife of 60 years, Edward is survived by his children, Diane (Steve) Henri, Jim (Jennie) Barnas, Alan (Peggy) Barnas, Nancy (Bill) Miller, Patricia (Doug) Wagel and Joyce (Dave) Leslie; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Joan Kazmierczak and Agnes Marksteiner as well as extended family and dear friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Barnas and sisters, Helen Walanski and Marie Isola.

Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Mary Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 1955 E. Commerce St., Milford on February 22, 2018 at 11:30 AM. Friends may visit beginning at 11 AM. The Rev. Msgr. John Budde to officiate. Burial St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights.
