Louis J. Louie Reynolds, a long time resident of Highland Township, died on June 22, 2013. He was 75 years old.
Louis was born on January 13, 1938 in Highland Township, Michigan. After attending Milford High School and the Chicago Technical College, he went to work with Aluma-Vue Windows in White Lake with whom he worked for many years. He later worked as a journeyman millwright with Stanley Doors in Birmingham and retired from Kelsey-Hayes in Milford. In his spare time he put to use his skill as a handyman and enjoyed remodeling many homes on Meribah and Railroad Streets in Clyde. He was a regular at the ballfields at Tags Sports Complex in Hartland and enjoyed goin shopping and playing Keno at 59 West in Highland and Striking Lanes in Hartland. He loved opportunities to be with his grandchildren and playing cards with family, which, with his high IQ and skill, he always won. He was a noble, quiet man, a self-proclaimed observer, which only made his well-timed sense of humor and good deeds he did for others all the more special.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa (Lester) Gentry and Susan (Dean) Bachmann; his son, Larry Reynolds; grandchildren, Amanda Reynolds, Amy Gentry, Joshua (Ann) Reynolds, Brian (Allison) Gentry, Amber Gentry, Jerra Barron, Nigel and Sophia Bachmann; great grandchildren, Dylan and Carly Gentry, Kayden and Sage Reynolds, Matthew and Aubree. He also leaves his brother, Ernest Jim Reynolds, a sister, Pat Myers, in-laws, Marj (Tom) Yeomans and Carrie (Bill) Armstrong, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois, in 1981.
A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 404 E. Liberty St., Milford, on Friday, June 28, at 11AM with Rev. Julius Del Pino officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday 6-9PM and Thursday 2-9PM. Memorials may be made in his name to Henry Ford Hospice. For further information please phone 248-684-6645.
